some kind of (movie) magic

I went to see The Hobbit tonight with two friends, they - as I - are rather big geeks, so we had fun! I wasn't very excited before the movie to be honest but now I am stoked for the next two ones. Even though I wonder what he will put in them. I was so happy to revisit Middle Earth. It really feels like seeing an old friend again. So many memories and feelings coming back to the surface. Peter Jackson will always have a big part in my movie making heart since his Lord of The Rings series was pretty much what made me decide to make movies. I have seen ALL of the bonus material on the extended edition DVD's and they opened up my eyes to everything that is film and directing. They are one of the reasons I am in film school today. And The Hobbit brought back that magic. 

I have always been able to enter a movie universe very easily, which is probably why I love Star Wars and LotR and Game of Thrones and all of these special places. I was born with a belief in people and a naivety that doesn't always come in hand, but it helps me to travel far into these worlds. My friend told me I was "very into the movie" and then he made a very ridiculous but probably spot on face of me smiling like an idiot. I have always loved falling into movies like I did with The Hobbit, and I want to spread that magic, that is why I want to make movies. To offer - if just for an hour (or 2h45 if you're Peter Jackson) - a voyage to another reality, where you can be whoever you want. 

In other news: I finally got my Lime Crime makeup!!! Pictures will come, because they are probably the most awesome colors that exist. Glamour 101 lipstick is THE perfect vintage red. The Alchemy Palette has so many beautiful, rich and pigmented! colors. And, not to mention, I never wear lipgloss, until now. The Carousel Lipgloss in Candy Apple must be the best lipgloss in the world. I dare you to find a better one.

Earth to Louise: Oh yes, I am kind of sick. Need to sleep. Just needed to write all this down. And also remake the layout. Because that's what I do whenever I don't have any time on my hands.
