The Little Things

Life is hectic. Even more hectic than when I was writing a novel. How weird is that? Life just put itself on pause in November and started playing out again for December! It has been two weeks filled with good food, good drinks, singing, filming, smiling (so much smiling!), 3 hour skype conversations, work, laughter, sleep overs, music, dancing, tea, new friends, old friends, and did I mention smiling?

Here are the highlights!

Firstly - I finished NaNoWriMo! I AM A WINNER!

I wrote 50 868 words in 28 days. Fifty thousand eight hundred sixty eight words
I can not begin describing how proud I am over this novel. It's probably shit (haven't read it yet) but it is my shit. It made me discover a lot of things about my characters and also about myself. I realized that I can do anything. Writing for 2 hours a day, every day, is all I need to do something awesome. And with the help of the amazing French NaNo community it all went a lot smoother than I thought it would.

This is the stats for my NaNoWriMo novel. You can see the dreadful Week 2 drop that I had heard so much about. I did not think it was so true. But as you see - you can get past it. Perseverance people. Perseverance.

Next year I'll try to write Peripeteia part III. Can't wait to see how my characters evolve!

I got to play supermodel again! For my lovely friend Julia, and her lovely hat maker friend, the makeup is by the amazingly talented Claire Bernard. The photos aren't done yet, but I can give you this little teaser of me with way too much makeup! I have seen some of the photos and they look AMAZING! Grab on to your hats, cause it's going to be awesome!

not my photo.
A week ago I went to see Glasvegas at Point Ephèmere here in Paris, and for many reasons it had a huge impact on my life. If you have never listened to Glasvegas - do so. Now. And they don't just make good music, they also happen to be great people. And Jonna Löfgren, the drummer - is breathtaking to watch. She plays standing up, just oozing cool and power. Freakishly good.
Oh and the lights are stunning.

I don't know if you are familiar with Swedish traditions but December 13th was Saint Lucia. With the Swedish Choir of Paris I have been singing Swedish traditional Christmas songs for over a week now. The Saint Lucia tradition pretty much consists in one girl putting a crown of candles on her head and then a bunch of people dressed in white follow her around with candles while singing. One of these weird heathen things we do up in the north. All to spread the joy and light of Christmas. This also means carrying around a bag with a white dress, glitter and a candle everyday. And free food. And free wine.

And last, but not least, I directed this ridiculous little Christmas short movie for school. This is not the final version. But hey, it's something!

Happy Christmas!
