Last Sunday I met up with Lorna and we had a girls day out in Paris. Sundays are always difficult in Paris since nothing is open, but we fought the French and their idea of not wanting to work on Sundays and found some things to do.
First we went shopping at La Defense, one of the few malls open on Sundays. Then we went to Parc Monceau which is this beautiful park in the 8th arrondissement. One of the few parks were you are actually allowed to sit on the grass. Then we went for some tea on the Champs Elysées. Also a very strategical place on a Sunday since it will keep open thanks to the tourists. And you can do what we did and swing into Marc's & Spencer's for some Victoria sandwich cake and tea. We were then supposed to get home but instead we decided to catch a movie, the Gaumont cinemas on the Champs have most films in their original language. Thankfully.
So there you go. What to do when everything is closed.
