My Lush products by louisekarlund featuring a lemon perfume
I used to have horrible issues with my scalp. Itchy issues. For a while I had big white patches that made my skin crawl and when I scratched it - it bled.
I tried it all. The doctor gave me special shampoos and serums. Shampoo filled with weird things I've never heard of. It worked.
For the six weeks I used it. And once I went back to normal shampoo it came back.
For about a year I kept this going - finding a treatment that worked (or not) just to once it was over going back to the itch.
And then one day a LUSH-store opened in my local mall. The amazing smell guided me there and the ridiculously nice staff kept me there. I told them about my problem and the girl gave me a tiny little tin box. In French it's called Baum Sweet Baume, in English - Superbalm. And with this little box - my search was over.
This balm is pretty much just coconut oil and candelilla wax among with some rose and lavender. Things I know and understand. I put the balm on my scalp before the shower whenever it itches. Sometimes I use it once a week, sometimes once a month. But it always works. The Superbalm is quite expensive, I think I payed 22€ (it's 12£ in the UK, $19.95 in the US) but it is worth e v e r y cent, penny or peso. If you have problems like I do - this works a charm.
I am always awe struck every time I go to LUSH, last time I went to buy a shampoo and ended up talking to the vendor about skate punk for a long time. LUSH also fight animal testing and all their products are handmade by well paid adults who seem to love their job. And they also try to eliminate the use of palm oil in all their products - honestly - awesome.
I discovered LUSH in February and ever since I buy almost all of my hair products there, and I am slowly trying to work myself through their scented jungle of other products. On top here you have all the products I have used and that I warmly recommend to anyone who wish to try out something new and environmentally friendly. And if you ever want to buy me a gift - you can just pretty much give me anything from LUSH.
