Let's write crappy novels in November!

About 6 months ago I wrote about Camp NaNoWriMo and how to survive writing a 50k word novel in 30 days. And I do believe it can help you again if you have signed up to National Novel Writing Month 2013. It all starts in November - so in like - 4 days. Are you ready?

Now 50 000 words don't make a novel - maybe a children's book but not an "actual" novel. But it does make a first draft. A shitty first draft. A shitty first draft that you can transform into a good novel.

And fifty thousand shitty words are better than no words at all.

This is the idea behind NaNoWriMo. To get the words out of you. To get the story out of you.

If you feel like writing but are scared of writing something bad - don't be. Everything is bad in the beginning. The first draft is bad. For everyone. Writing is not only writing, it is also editing. It is mostly editing actually. But to be able to edit you need to have something to edit.

So go sign up to NaNoWriMo and write a shitty novel in November!
