It's over.
Summer.
It's officially over.
I leave Sweden tomorrow morning and I start school on Monday.
A lot of things have happened these last months. I have been to a festival with my two best friends, I saw The Hives twice in the same week. I went to Sweden, twice. I went to Bordeaux, twice. I had a wonderful month of hard work at Disneyland before quitting that same job. I have been to Barcelona and Bretagne, two firsts for me. But hopefully not lasts. I have finished the first draft of the pilot to a TV-series.
Bretagne
I spent a weekend in the mystical lands of Bretagne, France. Or Brittany as it's called in English.
This photo is taken on the côte sauvage (wild coast) it's such a wonderful and magical place. Bretagne has a Gaelic history and apparently Merlin lived here! How cool is that? Anyway, go there. Get lost among the menhirs and have some crepes and cider. Unfailable vacation! Oh just so you know, it kinda always rains over there.
Mainsquare Festival
One of the things I am the most grateful for is these two freaks: Alessandra and Sahra. This past year we have gotten to know each other so much and they are basically my family in Paris.
In July we went away to Mainsquare Festival in Arras, France. IT WAS AWESOME! Did I mention THE HIVES? And GREEN DAY! And STING! Oh dear, we had so much fun! And this was really a festival about the music, not just about drinking in the camping. We got pushed around like crazy to The Prodigy and stood in the front in always every show. We also had the most awesome fries!
We met some really cool people there and we had so much fun. I really hope we'll be there next year too!
Bordeaux
This picture sums up an incredible weekend in Bordeaux. It is taken upon La Dune du Pila, on a warm July evening. The sunset was amazing. It felt like God created the sunset and wanted the people to have a place to see it - so he made the dune. It is such a simple thing that fills you with so much wonder and peace.
And to be there with people you love just make it all so much better.
Sweden
Can I just say how much I love my family? And Swedish summer is always the best. Always. Seriously.
Bordeaux again and St Emilion
St Emilion is a ridiculously cute little village not far from Bordeaux, it is famous for its wine and tiny little streets and churches and stuff. We walked around there for a day, it was gorgeous! Also! Trains! I love trains.
Barcelona
Barcelona is such a cool place! My cousin has been living there on and off for a few years and I finally got to visit her! We drank cheap beer and went shopping, we talked for hours and hours, and I got to discover the real side of Barcelona. I loved it, even though the weather was crap.
Last days at work
After three years at Disneyland Paris I handed in my notice. I am now unemployed and it is both happy and sad. I know have the time and possibility to have a life but I will miss spending time with these weirdos. I have learnt so much at Disney and I hope that I will never forget what it is like having a job like that.
Sweden again
Quitting my job gave me the opportunity to come back home for a few more weeks. I surprised a friend and showed up on her birthday! And I have cooked sooo much food! I have also spent time with the family and of course, finished some writing. All good that ends good.
I am excited to go back to school now. I can't wait actually. I miss my friends and working my ass off in school. I really miss learning things.
This have been a great few months. And I can't wait for the next months to come. Life is beautiful.
Lots of love xoxo
