The Little Things

Here we are, Sunday. And I decided to once more make a little list over those little things that makes me smile every day.

There are tiny things - like putting down the needle on that exact spot on a vinyl disc.
And there are bigger things - like seeing the set of Lasse Hallström's new movie.

The point is to try to see the positive things in life. Because happiness is a choice. Don't forget that.

I got some horrible news this week, really horrible news that make me wonder where the justice is. And I always turn to God in those moments, but when God is the one pulling the trigger it is hard to have trust in him. But I try. Because in the end there is nothing I can do about it. No one can.

So this week it was even more important for me to round up the little things, because sadly the big things were not very positive.

So here we go.

I have written over forty-two thousand words this month. I am starting to believe I can actually get to 50k. The French Wrimos are such amazing people, I am so happy I have met them. The write-ins and the chat are the highlights of my week.

A friend took me to see a ballet/opera the other night, and holy caramel that was the weirdest shit I have ever seen! There was a naked woman dancing on stage. Completely utterly naked. I think it could have been very beautiful and touching, but it all came off as very pretentious. Still - probably the coolest/weirdest thing I've seen all year!

My books arrived!
And now I carry around Shakespeare's sonnets wherever I go. The man was a genius, and I can't stop smiling when I read his stuff. I started Henry IV part 1 today as well. His work is like distilled life.

My best friend was ill the other day, and I had the afternoon off so I strolled over to her place and brought soup. There is seriously no better thing than hot soup and awesome friends.

Christmas is only one month away and I can officially start singing Christmas music in public! Check out this awesome playlist with classic Christmas music!

Did you see that Doctor Who episode? The Day of the Doctor? It was - intense.

I just had a skype session with my family - LOVE. Just heaps and heaps of love.

Wearing my plastic crown like a  monarch! And falling asleep to The Hollow Crown.

I thank God for all the good things in my life. And I pray for help and support when I am met with obstacles. I pray for my friends and my family and for being a better person. And these are just some of the things He does for me. Everyday.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
